Campus pilot

SRM University AP, January 2027.

Kitchens on campus, vending machines at the blocks, and a fleet that flies itself home.

  1. Closed Test

A few of us and friends, one kitchen, one block, and a person watching every flight.

  2. Student Beta

About 50 students, two to three kitchens and two blocks, with published hours.

  3. The Whole Campus

Every block and kitchen, once deliveries hold steady over a few hundred orders.

Test flights so far

35 test deliveries, out to 8 km.

Flown from SRM University AP in a green zone, within sight of a certified pilot and observers along the route. In the 10 October test the winch released a 1.5 kg payload from a 3 m hover, 8.5 cm from the centre of the pad.

Test flights, not paid deliveries. Figures from the team’s flight records and field testing report.
